Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Freqyn ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: your video files never leave your browser — only the extracted audio is sent to our servers for transcription.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.
• Audio for transcription — when you upload a video, audio is extracted in your browser and sent to our servers to generate captions. The video file itself is never uploaded.
• Captions and projects — the caption text, timings, and styling you create are stored with your account so you can return to your projects.
• Usage and billing data — transcription seconds used, plan status, and payment status. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
• Technical data — standard logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and debugging.

2. What we do not collect

• Your video files. Caption preview and MP4 export happen entirely in your browser.
• Payment instrument details (handled by Razorpay).

3. How we use your data

• To provide the Service: transcribe audio, store your projects, track your credits.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions via Razorpay.
• To communicate with you about your account, billing, and important changes.
• To secure and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your audio or captions to target advertising.

4. Third-party services

• Google — authentication (sign-in).
• Speech-to-text provider — extracted audio is processed to generate captions.
• Razorpay — payment processing and subscription billing. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to data you provide at checkout.

5. Data retention and deletion

• Extracted audio is retained only as long as needed to complete transcription.
• Projects and captions are kept while your account is active.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Contact page; we will delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies — to keep you signed in and secure your session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the data we hold.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or email, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
